Peter Burnett uses a special website that hosts all of the links that students work on each day. These links are available after school. We encourage students to go into porta-portal to work on anything they may be struggling with at school or just to play with the many fun sites. .

The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young people need for success in college and careers. RTI is a multi-step process of providing educational support and instruction to children who are struggling learners. Individual children’s progress is monitored and results are used to make decisions about further instruction and intervention. RTI is most commonly used in addressing problems with reading and math but it can also used in other areas. The RTI process is flexible and designed by school districts to meet the needs of their students.

Peter Burnett provides before and after school interventions in the areas of math and reading. Students who have scored below Proficient on the California Standards Tests or who are struggling in one of these areas may be recommended for one of these interventions. Math Intervention runs in the mornings from 8:00 - 8:30 before school begins. Reading Intervention is an after school program that is from 3:00 - 4:00 pm.
