A Note from the Principal

 

APEX STRONG is here! Greetings Burnett Families! On Friday we completed STEP #3 of becoming STRONG Leaders with the Apex Team. Our students learned what it means to REFUEL and why it is so important to take care of our two tanks: Our brain and our body. We can only be STRONG leaders by taking care of our body through consistent exercise and healthy eating habits. We give our brains a break by getting a good amount of sleep, not worrying or stressing and not spending too much time on our devices.

Out of State Challenge: The class that obtains the most out-of-state pledges over the weekend will earn a…. PIZZA PARTY with the Apex Team next week! Let’s get those out of state pledges and continue to help our school! Remember, the Share feature is a great and easy way to reach out to friends and family out of state! Hopefully many of you received our phone message from our school coach Touchdown Trevor yesterday evening. This week is our Fun Run and the excitement is building! If you have cash or check donations, please submit them to the office by Thursday 9/27. The goal is to collect all donations prior to the Fun Run.

Our Fun Run is this Thursday 9/27. The schedule for the run is as follows:

4th grade: 9-9:45am

3rd grade: 10:30-11:15am

5th grade: 12:45-1:30pm

 

Picture Day Picture day will take place on Wednesday, October 3rd. Information will be coming home with your child this week.

WEF Annual Appeal Campaign is underway! The Wiseburn Education Foundation Annual Appeal Campaign in underway. Our school is fortunate to have WEF as a community partner. Donations to WEF provided funding for visual and performing arts education, teachers grants, healthy lifestyles programs, and STEM education. Please consider making a contribution for the new school year. Installment plans are available. Donate online at: www.memberplanet.com/campaign/wef/2018-19. A WEF donation boxes are located in the school office for any contributions sent back to school.

 

PTA News Bulldog Wear is on it's way!-our order has been placed and should be arriving this week. Burnett Movie Night-10/5 @ 6pm. Please see the attached newsletter for more information on buying tickets. Thanks to everyone who has submitted their PTA membership-we hope to reach 100% participation this year!
